How to Experience God From Spirituality Rather Than Religion

The privilege of experiencing God is more from spirituality rather than religion. It is an exhilarating experience, a pleasure, and ecstasy that cannot be defined.

This is an experience that cannot be related as it will mostly be received with disbelief or skepticism. The first question that will be asked is what God looks like.

So how does one experience God? The method of experiencing God is very private, it is mostly done in total seclusion. It is our very private moment with God.

How to Experience God From Spirituality Rather Than Religion

One of the most effective ways is to build a mental image of God and imagine you’re walking along with Him on a stroll through a park. Strike up a conversation with Him. This may sound crazy but You’ll actually find him responding after a while.

Try reading the book ‘Conversations with God based on the author Neale Donald Walsh’s personal experience with God. The book became very popular, and Neale Donald Walsh has made very successful videos and written a whole series of books on Conversations with God. How to Experience God From Spirituality Rather Than Religion

The process of beginning to experience God is to still the mind and concentrate on messages from the soul and the inner self. This is difficult at first but gets easier with more and more practice. As one begins to get the knack of it, intuitions and feelings become easier to experience.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had experienced Lord Krishna so many times He used to be ecstatic with joy and sing the Lord’s praises all the time. Much later, Ramakrishna Paramahansa experienced the Goddess Kali several times and used to be ecstatic with joy over having visions of her.

The joy of experiencing God comes from regular practice. The best way is to strike up a conversation with Him with intense concentration. It may appear stupid in the beginning, talking to yourself. But after a while, you will begin to sense responses, sometimes from your intuition, sometimes even in your dreams. God is the personification of the Universe, and the universe sends messages in many ways. God may not talk directly in the beginning, and it takes a lot of practice hearing Him reply to you.

There is a saying that praying is talking to God and meditating is the stage when God talks to us. We need to train ourselves to listen during the meditation process. Once we begin to get the hang of the listening process, we will begin to understand the messages of the universe.

Another way to experience God is to become better and better at what you do until you become so good that you begin to experience God. Just watch an expert guitar player who gets into a guitar jam and becomes ecstatic and experiences a new high each time he goes into a searing solo. This feeling of pure joy is the same as the feeling while experiencing joy.

Just go on. Keep a calm mindset, listen to the sounds of your soul, Of the universe, be at peace and the best things will come to you when you least expect them. You need to develop and constantly have an attitude of gratitude. This gratitude needs to be genuine and not a trick just to get to God. God knows everything about us, even when we are putting on a show. Devotion and faith must be pure and genuine and not put on.

The law of attraction says that we get what we focus our energy on. Why do most prayers apparently go unanswered? Have you often wondered that most prayers ask God for something? This is actually an expression of lack that gets answered in the form of more lack until we learn to express gratitude for what we have. We need to show we don’t want a loan while we are applying for a loan from a bank.

Both the Universe and God give us what we ask for but only when we believe we are worthy of it and when we have the unfailing belief that we deserve it and it will come to us. So, give it a try. Just talk to God like you would with a parent. And you may suddenly experience God in a way you never imagined.
